Gina Delos Santos.
Kia Ora. My name is Gina. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I was a Primary Teacher in the Philippines for 16 years. I have been in the Early Education sector for 10 years. I am a qualified fully registered Early Childhood Teacher.
My passion is to extend the children’s learning through many experiences and love being a part of their growth, development and achievements.
I have a 16 year old boy. He goes to Rosmini College. My husband works in Albany as a manufacturer.
Kia Ora Whanau! My name is Rachel. I am a registered teacher at Kinderhaven Glenfield. I came from the Philippines, and have been living in New Zealand since 2006. I completed my Bachelor Degree in Education at AUT in 2014. I started working at Kinderhaven in 2015, and am loving every minute of it.
I completed my degree in Early Childhood Education at AUT University in 2017 and I have been working here since.
I love working with children and helping them develop into confident and competent learners. I believe that we should create an environment where children feel safe, loved and respected.
Kia Ora, my name is Lizzy. I was first a parent at Kinderhaven Preschool for a few years, and then joined the teaching team when I became a qualified and registered ECE teacher in January 2019.
My philosophy about learning through play, is to stay in the moment while working and learning alongside our children, by ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all learners.
I have three children myself. We love the kiwi lifestyle of engaging in sports and outdoor adventures.
Ko Ngarewa toku ingoa. Ko New Zealand ahau. Ko Ngati Moko toku iwi. Ko Te Araw toku waka.
I believe that to reach a child’s full potential you must touch the heart. With over 9 years floor experience and 24 years of motherhood, I have experienced the journey of young active learners and have loved each and every one.
I obtained my Batchelor of Teaching early years 0 – 8 through Massey University in 2014 and have had an amazing career prior to which I was in the finance industry. I have been part of the Kinderhaven Preschool family since September 2019.
I am honoured and privileged to not only be a decendent of the Maori/Moriori people, but also carry Indian ethnicity with me. Having been brought up with strong connections to both my cultures, I try to encourage all children to be proud of where they come from. With a Bi-cultural/multi-cultural drive with Te Whariki the Early Childhood Curriculum and am empowered to share my Maori culture (tikunga) throughout my daily interactions.
As a mother of seven children I know the importance of trying to build a strong and positive relationship not only with the children themselves but also the family and wider community so that together we can expose our young children to a variety of meaningful activities that will encourage, empower and build a positive attitude towards learning so that they want to become lifelong learners and leaders.
